On 18 September 2026, Dr. Hassan Doutaghi, Consul General,  signed the condolence book at the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Peoples Republic of China in Hong Kong SAR to express profound sorrow on the passing of Mr. Tung Chee-hwa, former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference and former Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
