Incentives for investment in the tourism sector in Iran:
Iran's Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft announced the following incentives for investment in the tourism sector in Iran:
- Exemptions for energy, fuel, phone, insurance, etc.
- Special tax exemptions in underprivileged areas for up to 10 years and 5 years for those in privileged areas.
- VAT exemptions for three-star and below hotels and hostels.
- Substituting tax payment for companies and institutions with the amount of tourism content creation costs.
- Customs exemption for the import of tourism production line equipment and machinery.
- Exemption from construction permit fees, waste reduction, and renovation of tourism facilities with the approvals of the local council of the city and through the municipalities.
- Granting facilities with governmental interest and tariff and subsidies for tourism facilities.
- Paying gratis credits to investors who use non-subsidized sources.
- Transferring of national lands and ownership document with government tariff and rate based on the time of transfer to the investor.
- Granting Credit and governmental infrastructural grants for tourism projects.
- The priority is to change land use of two urban commissions for the implementation of tourism projects.
- Instalment payment of fees for land use change and selling density to the municipality.
- Exemption of land use change payment fees for hotels, Special tourism areas, Eco-lodge and tourism complexes.
- All supportive and incentive laws in the field of foreign investment with the approval of the Organization for investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran.
