Iran's permanent UN ambassador condemns Israeli atomic threats in Gaza

In a letter dated 7 November 2023 to the President of the Security Council, Secretary General, and President of the General Assembly, the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations cautioned against recent Israeli threats of use of nucear weopons in Gaza.

In the letter, the Iran ambassador to the UN cautioned against Israel's threat to use nuclear weapons in Gaza, calling the international community "to condemn Israeli's reckless and dangerous statements  and to apply pressure to ensure that Israel fully cooperates with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and adheres to its safeguards and verification procedures, dismantles its nuclear weapons program, and joins and fully implements all relevant international treaties and conventions of Weapons of Mass Destruction."
