The Attack on Iran: A Humiliation and Collapse of the International Legal Order
The illegal and unprovoked act of aggression by the US and the Zionist regime has entered its 7th day, during which 171 cities have been targeted. So far 3700 civilian centers, including 3090 residential units, 530 commercial and 12 medical centers have been destroyed or damaged. Additionally, 1300 innocent civilians, including women and children have been martyred.
The United States and the Israeli regime have crossed all the red lines. The assassination of a nation's supreme leader and the killing of innocent civilians, including 165 schoolgirls, demonstrate that they hold no regard for international law and its requirements, attempting to impose their policies through force—the law of the jungle.
Beyond its inherent criminality, this strategy represents a profound miscalculation. The United States has once again demonstrated that it is not a reliable negotiating partner, and the country's president has shown a great propensity for using force to impose his will. The reasons provided for this attack by him and his team, are so flimsy that they have not only failed to convince public opinion within the US but have also angered many of its politicians. Internationally, in addition to China and Russia, many justice-seeking nations worldwide have deemed this US action unacceptable and have opposed it.
It is believed that the Americans, due to a lack of understanding of Iran's civilization, history, and people, have been deceived. They have disregarded the "America First" slogan and the desire of the majority of the American people, even their own voters.
History has shown that Iran has never surrendered to foreign aggression. Iran's resistance throughout history against external threats has been tested time and again, and the outcome has always been the defeat of the aggressor. Iran grows more united, motivated and stronger in times of hardship. Undoubtedly, these recent attacks are doomed to fail, and the aggressors will retreat in the face of the resistance of Iran's brave people, and a new order will emerge in the region.
