17th International Exhibition of Textile Industry (DITEX 2025)
Iran’s textile industry has a history that stretches back to the 11th and 12th centuries when the country was one of the world’s premier exporters of textiles and silks to Europe Asia and the rest of the world.
Over a hundred years ago, the first textile mill operating with European machinery was established in the Iranian capital Tehran, and today, Iran’s textile and clothing industry accounts for more than 13 percent of its industrial employment and makes up for more than 20 percent of the exports.
The country’s textile companies are mostly based in the central provinces of Yazd and Isfahan as well as the cities of Tehran and Qazvin, while there are also a lot of units in the Northern provinces and Azerbaijan.
Exports include garments, cotton and cotton-blend fabrics, and floor coverings. Iran features in the list of the world’s top 20 textile investment opportunities, and industry experts are convinced there is still a wealth of untapped potentials in Iran’s textile and clothing industry just waiting to be discovered by overseas investors.
In this regard, the 17th International Exhibition of Textile Industry (DITEX 2025) will be held on 24-27 June 2025 in the city of Isfahan. As the 2nd largest exhibition in the country, DITEX 2025 can provide distinctive opportunities to exchange knowledge and experience and to develop trade exchanges and ties internationally.
