Press Statement No.14

Title: Strategic Ignorance: The Failure of U.S. Foreign Policy in the Conflict with Iran

The United States’ military attack on Iran was built upon critical false assumptions. Washington operated under the false premises of a significantly weakened Iran, the certainty of a rapid victory, and the belief that U.S. military power could be exerted without facing severe repercussions. These fundamental miscalculations drew the administration into this avoidable war.

These misguided assumptions were largely fueled by the Israeli regime and hostile expatriate circles. They successfully convinced the Trump administration that the Iranian state was on the verge of collapse and that a total regime change could be achieved within three days.

The reality, however, has proven to be a strategic blunder. This action has placed American hegemony in the Persian Gulf—and its standing globally—under unprecedented challenge.

Rather than weakening the nation, these miscalculations have consolidated Iran’s strategic leverage, specifically its control over the Strait of Hormuz and its expanded influence on the global economy. The targeting of U.S. regional bases has eroded the trust of local governments in Washington’s security guarantees, while simultaneously strengthening Iranian nationalism and demonstrating the country’s resilience in times of crisis.

This conflict has also underscored that Iran’s missile capabilities remain a formidable and essential deterrent. Furthermore, the doctrine of "security in exchange for money" has collapsed, casting deep doubt on the effectiveness of past security architectures in the region.

Ultimately, this war has weakened America’s global strategic and moral standing. It has widened the gap between U.S. policymakers and public opinion—including among the President’s own supporters—and increased their distance from the Israeli regime.
