Those Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland Chinese passport holders who want to stay in Iran longer than 21 days or desired to get other types of visa (other than Tourist and Business (Entry)) and Taiwan passport holders, should proceed their application through evisa.mfa.ir/en which will be elaborated below:
From March 27, 2018 onward visa application can only be processed via E-VISA website (evisa.mfa.ir/en). Previous forms of application will no longer be in practice. Visa applicants need to choose Hong Kong as place of issue. After completion of the online application, the Tracking Code should be printed and submitted to the Visa Section of the Consulate General together with other required documents.
Visa required documents:
General:
- Original passport.
- Payment Slip & copy.
- Printed Application Form (From E-visa website).
- Authorization letter from Passport owner (Applicable to those who submit or collect the documents on behalf of passport owner)
- Invitation letter of the Iranian company, organization or trade partner (Applicable to persons requesting Business (Entry) visa)
Visa Section Working Hours:
- Submission of Application: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 12:00
- Collection time: Working days 14.00- 15.00.00. For Visa collection date please refer to the acknowledgment receipt.
Visa Fees:
Hong Kong passports:
- Tourist visa (Type B): HKD 600.00
- Business (Entry) visa (Type A): HKD 650.00
Macao passports:
- Tourist visa (Type B): HKD 500.00
- Business (Entry) visa (Type A): HKD 600.00
Mainland and Taiwan passports:
- Tourist visa (Type B): HKD 850.00
- Business (Entry) visa (Type A): HKD 1000.00

Note:
The mentioned fees are charged for normal visas. Urgent visas may be applied adding 50% to the respective visa fee.
Urgent visas will be issued (if they meet the regulations) in one working day from submission date.
Payment:
The corresponding fees need to be paid by Cash Deposit (at the bank counter) to the following account in favor of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran:

Applicants should write down their name (for visa and other personal applications) or in case of organized tours the name of the travel agency on the payment slips.

Payments could be deposited in the above account max. 72 hours before submission of applications or documents.
